About Renata Salles

Renata Salles is a 37-year-old artist living in Zurich, Switzerland. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, she grew up in a city of great social differences, but with a common mood of optimism, freedom and diversity.

Renata, always very free and observant and with a vocation for arts since she was a child, captures the quotidian and lifestyle in a liberating, dark humoristic way that she calls “essential humor”.

Her ideal is to break out of the predictable, fixed reality.

“It’s my pleasure to transform every situation into a brighter life.

Diversity fascinates me and that`s why I'm not a prisoner of aesthetics, but rather expressed through a state of mind.

There is nothing more liberating than allowing yourself to be a mutant; this is something that everyone could gift themselves with.

From reality, I just keep my principals so my mood is my signature. “

Education

Renata Salles graduated with a Bachelor in Fashion. She started her career in Filhas de Gaia in 2005, as a Founder and Creative Director. Working there for 11 years, she was having the pleasure of bringing her arts to the streets around the world. In 2016, Renata also founded Paleti, where she could transfer her paintings to scarfs and Panneaux.

After moving to Zurich in 2017, she dedicated herself to her arts and kept her Fashion background as a hobby.
